Child Dental Benefits Schedule
Our practice offers The Child Dental Benefit Schedule which will commence on 1 January 2014. The Child Dental Benefit Schedule is a dental benefits program for eligible children aged 2-17 years that will provide up to $1,000 in benefits to patients for basic dental services. The child’s eligibility for The Children’s Dental Benefit Schedule is assessed by the Department of Human Services where the child receives a relevant Australian government payment, such as Family Tax Benefit A, at any point in the calendar year.
Services that receive a benefit under the program include examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canal, extractions and partial dentures. Benefits are not available for Orthodontic or Cosmetic dental work and cannot be paid for any services provided in a hospital.

Daily habits that can contribute to tooth discolouration include drinking coffee, tea, red wine, the use of tobacco products, certain medications, and of course – the natural ageing process. Irregular hygiene visits can also darken the appearance of your teeth.

Your smile requires regular and consistent maintenance. When you return for your usual 6 monthly recall, an appointment is also coupled with a periodic examination. Our dentists will perform a thorough check-up of the teeth including any dental restoration, with the aim of diagnosing and preventing any problems early before they become major issues. Radiographs (x-rays) may be required to aid with this process.
We offer regular hygiene visits at Maven Dental Reynella, formerly Dental Partners Reynella, to clean your teeth as well as treat inflamed gums to prevent bad breath. The hygienist will also give advice on cleaning techniques to achieve and maintain good oral hygiene.
Interpreter Service by Maven Dental Reynella
NABS is the National Auslan Interpreter Booking and Payment Service. NABS is funded by the Australian Government to provide interpreters FREE of charge to people who use sign language to communicate, and who would like to book an interpreter for their private health care appointment.www.nabs.org.au
